Product Description

ArmGrout HF 66 is a polyester-based, two-component resin anchoring system specially formulated to provide excellent anchorage strength. It is suitable for anchoring bolts and reinforcement bars up to 25 mm diameter into concrete, rock, masonry, or brickwork. The product is ideal where rapid installation and early load application are required.

Method of Application

Hole Preparation

For optimum performance, the hole should be rough-sided and completely dust-free. Holes can be cleaned with water. Cast holes should preferably have an inverse dovetail configuration.

Bar Preparation

The bar must be free from oil, grease, and loose flaky rust before installation.

Mixing

Thoroughly mix the resin and modified filler components using a mechanical mixer for 2–3 minutes until a uniform consistency is achieved.
As the working pot life is approximately 10 minutes, the mixed material must be placed immediately after mixing.

Placing

Gradually pour the required quantity of ArmGrout HF 66 into the cleaned hole. Insert the bolt or reinforcement rod until it touches the bottom of the hole, ensuring the resin fills the annular space completely.
Once positioned, the bolt or rod must not be disturbed and should be allowed to set properly.

Cleaning

All mixing tools and equipment should be cleaned within the pot life of the grout. FloArm Tool Clean is recommended for cleaning purposes.

Chemical Resistance

The cured resin is resistant to fresh and salt water, petrol, oils, grease, and most acids, alkalis, and solvents.

After the minimum curing time before loading, the grout typically achieves a compressive strength exceeding 30 N/mm².

The ultimate bond strength depends on:

• Strength of the host material

• Length of resin bond to the bar

• Quality of hole preparation

• Type and dimension of the bar

Installation Formula

To ensure shear stress within concrete remains within permissible limits, the minimum installation depth for Type 1 rebar bolts may be calculated as:

Minimum hole depth (mm) = 69(db)² ÷ S(dh)

Where:

• S = Permitted shear stress in concrete (N/mm²)

• db = Bar diameter (mm)

• dh = Hole diameter (mm)

Storage & Shelf Life

Shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture when stored in a cool, dry, shaded area in sealed, airtight packaging.
