Fosroc Lokfix S is a two-component, pre-measured polyester resin anchoring grout. Once hardened, it delivers consistent, high-strength anchorages with reliable and reproducible performance values.

Applications

Lokfix S is used for high-strength, corrosion-resistant anchoring of bolts and reinforcement bars (10–51 mm diameter) into:

Versions Available

Three pre-measured polyester resin grout variants are available:

• Lokfix L (Large Aggregate) – For holes exceeding bar diameter by 25–50 mm

• Lokfix S (Small Aggregate) – For hole/bar diameter difference less than 25 mm

• Lokfix P (Pumpable Grade) – Designed for overhead or horizontal holes; thixotropic to reduce grout flow

Design Criteria

The selection of Lokfix version depends on ambient temperature and anchor conditions. The ultimate bond strength achieved depends on:

• Strength of host material

• Length of resin bond to bar

• Hole preparation and formation

• Type and dimension of reinforcement bar

The minimum depth of installation for Type 1 rebar bolts may be calculated in accordance with BS 8110 to ensure shear stress remains within permissible limits.

Application Instructions

Selection

Choose the appropriate version based on anchor conditions and hole/bar diameter relationship.

Mixing

• Mix a complete pack of resin and catalyzed filler in one operation.

• Mechanical mixing is recommended.

• Mix until smooth and uniform consistency is achieved.

• Use within the gel time.

• Do not mix partial pack components.

Packs are designed for practical and economical application volumes.

Packaging

• Lokfix S/P: 0.5 L and 2.5 L packs

Storage

Store below 25°C in original unopened containers.
Shelf life: 6 months when stored properly away from high temperatures.

Precautions

Fire Resistance & Creep

At operating temperatures above 40°C, creep under sustained load may become significant. Resin anchors should not be used where structural load-bearing performance must be maintained during fire exposure.

• Lokfix S, L, P: 29°C

• Nitoflor Sol: 33°C

Fire Safety

Fosroc Lokfix S polyester resin grout is flammable.

• Ensure proper ventilation in confined areas.

• No naked flames.

• Do not smoke during application.
