Fosroc Supercast SW20 is a hydrophilic (swellable) waterstop strip. It is designed to swell when in contact with water, creating a pressure seal against the concrete to prevent water ingress.

The “Integrated Network” Concept

The primary unique selling point of this product is its ability to create a hybrid system:

1. Expansion Joints (Moving): You use the traditional Supercast PVC waterstops (dumbbell or center bulb profiles) because they can stretch and handle structural movement.

2. Construction Joints (Non-moving): You use the Supercast SW20 strip. It is much faster and easier to install than PVC waterstops because it does not require split formwork.

3. The Link: You use Supercast SWX, a swellable adhesive, to glue the SW20 strip directly onto the PVC waterstop, creating a continuous, leak-proof loop around the structure.

Water swellable, basic polymer, hydrophilic waterstop shall be Fosroc Supercast SW20.

Performance Specification:
The waterstop must be a preformed elastomeric strip capable of integrating into existing waterstop networks. It must withstand a hydrostatic head of 60 meters and have an unrestrained volumetric expansion of up to 300%. It must not deteriorate under prolonged wet/dry cycling.

• Shelf Life: 12 months when stored in cool, dry conditions away from sunlight in original unopened containers.
