COATINGSikaTop® Seal-107 IN is a two-component, polymer-modified cementitious waterproofing slurry designed to protect concrete and masonry structures from water ingress. Its flexible formulation bridges fine cracks, making it ideal for both interior and exterior applications in Bangladesh’s humid and monsoon-prone climate.

Composition

• Part A: Liquid polymer and additives.
• Part B: Portland cement with selected aggregates and additives.

Physical Properties

• Density: ~2.0 kg/L at +27°C.

• Compressive Strength:

  • ≥ 2 N/mm² after 3 days.

  • ≥ 20 N/mm² after 28 days.

• Tensile Strength: ≥ 4.5 N/mm² after 14 days (ASTM D 2370).

• Tensile Adhesion Strength: ≥ 2 N/mm² (Concrete failure) (ASTM C 882).

Application Details

• Mixing Ratio: Part A : Part B = 1:4 (by weight).
• Layer Thickness: 1.5 – 2.0 mm per coat.
• Pot Life: ~40 minutes at +27°C.
• Waiting Time Between Coats: 2 – 6 hours at +30°C.
• Curing Time Before Overcoating: Minimum 3 days for cementitious materials.

Consumption

• Per Coat: ~1.5 kg/m².
• Total (2 Coats): ~3.0 kg/m².
• With Sika® Fab-1 Reinforcement: ~1 m²/m².

Packaging & Shelf Life

• Packaging:

  • Part A: 5.0 kg container.

  • Part B: 20.0 kg bag.

  • Total: 25 kg set.

• Shelf Life: 12 months from the date of production when stored in original, unopened packaging in dry and cool conditions.

Curing Treatment

For cement based products, proper curing is important for minimum 3 to 5 days. Protect newly applied SikaTop® Seal-107 IN against direct sunlight, wind, rain and frost to ensure full cement hydration and minimize cracking. Use polythene sheeting or similar approved methods.
